Welcome to Hilton Spencer Academy
Hilton Spencer Academy has many qualities where high expectations, standards and values are fostered and progress and achievement are positively monitored and celebrated. Every child at our school is equally important to us and they are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure they are cared for, nurtured and developing in a happy, safe and purposeful environment where they can grow and flourish.
Both as a large school and as part of the Spencer Academies Trust, we are able to draw upon an impressive range of talent, expertise and resources to support and enhance learning and the all-round development of our children.
Year Six have completed their mini marathon of 2.6 miles this morning, as well as a fluency lesson on long division! Super stars! pic.twitter.com/DR8iU6Zhg9
Reception thoroughly enjoyed their first visit to the Sensory Garden on Tuesday. The children walked beautifully and listened very well to all of the rules. They especially loved the mud kitchen! pic.twitter.com/dmvnQHMrY7
In Art lessons, Year two have been looking at Axel Scheffler’s illustrations. They have enjoyed creating their own monster pictures, using a variety of techniques. pic.twitter.com/ti5je7S5hM
Today in Year 3, we used the Trencar Mosaic Technique, first used by the architect Antoni Gaudi. The word 'trencar' in spanish means to break. We painted, then broke lasagne pieces before fitting them together to form our art work. @satrust_ pic.twitter.com/oJv4u2bwTf
Year 3 - Investigating places in Geography We are learning about the continent of Europe. We used our mapping skills to cross-reference and identify which country in Europe consumes the most ice-cream and which is the most common surname in Spain! pic.twitter.com/AV3TMaEIVC
